Happiness formulation is a unique blend of several modalities. It is created to work in a set of sessions decided upon as part of your treatment plan. Some of the modalities such as CBT, Sandplay therapy, EMDR, and DBT/Yoga are listed for you to familiarize yourself with this powerful combination, however there is a far more complex approach that is entailed in this work.
The happiness formulation is for clients who are looking for intensive and solution focused therapy that provides results for acute issues. Clients are enabled to use the taught skills and graduate the program at completion in a short period of time, rather than engaging in weekly, ongoing therapy.


Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Includes but is not limited to creating recognizing symptoms of negative behaviors, emotional regulation, realistic thinking, coping and problem solving. CBT aids in mastering your thought process and creating new thinking patterns and healthy ways to communicate.

SAND PLAY Therapy
Is a nonverbal, therapeutic intervention that makes use of a sandbox, miniature figures, and sometimes water, to create scenes of miniature worlds that reflect a person’s inner thoughts, struggles, and concerns. This form of play therapy utilized for all age groups is an effective modality to address the subconscious/non verbal aspects that influence mental health.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing
Is used to address difficult life experiences that contribute to problems in your everyday daily living. By addressing unprocessed and stored events in your life, EMDR can help you release old ways of thinking and feeling in a very deep and meaningful approach. It is a systematic and structured approach with measurable results.. By unlocking certain memories we are able to discover the origin of the “problem” and create new adaptive ways of thinking. Mindfulness/ Yoga/DBT
Is an approach that is the hands-on portion of our therapeutic journey in which you will learn both how to change unwanted behaviors, emotions, thoughts and events in your life that cause distress as well as how to live in the moment and find acceptance. Skills include mindfulness and holistic practices, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and yoga.
